Roger Thomas
Roger Thomas is serving his sixth term in the
Iowa House of
Representatives. He represents Iowa House
District 24 which includes
the counties of Clayton, Delaware and Fayette.
He is Chairman
Economic Growth Committee and serves on the
Ways and Means,
Rebuild Iowa and Veterans’ Affairs Committees
along with the Economic
Development Budget Subcommittee.
Roger graduated from Upper Iowa University in
Fayette, Iowa with a
Bachelor of Science in Public Administration.
He is the Executive Director
for Elkader Economic Development Corporation
and Main Street Elkader.
Roger currently serves on the Northeast Iowa
Community College’s
Foundation Board, Upper Explorerland Region
Planning Commission,
Iowa Department of Economic Development Board,
and Chairman of the
Clayton County Enterprise Zone Commission.
Roger Thomas and his wife, Rosemary, live on
the family farm west of
Elkader. They have three grown children and
four grandchildren.
